About
Adam Tyler is the Assistant Special Education Director and the Lead Case Manger at Western School of Science and Technology. This is his 5th year at Western and his 8th year in Special Education. Adam enjoys working with students, getting to know parents, and collaborating with fellow educators at Western to create and deliver differentiation in lessons so that all students are able to access the same curriculum.
Adam is originally from Salt Lake City. He spent 8 years in the Marine Corps where he was stationed all over the country and even spent 4 years living in Okinawa Japan. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2016 and was accepted into the Teach For America program. He taught for 3 years in North Carolina before moving to Phoenix in 2019 and starting his journey here at Western. He is very excited to watch this year’s senior class move towards graduation as they were among his first students he taught when he started at WSST.
Adam loves to spend his downtown playing with his 3 dogs, cooking inventive meals for his family, and building complex Lego sets at home. An avid Star Trek fan, Adam can (and will) talk hours about his love for this long running Sci-Fi series and encourage others to boldly go and check it out.
