About
John Larson is in his 6th year at Western. He is the World History and AP US History teacher. He is also the Department Chair of the History, Foreign Language, and AVID Content Team, a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, the Child Study Team, and he has been a Table Facilitator for Teacher Leadership Academy for the last 5 years.
Previously, Larson worked for Region 10 school district as a substitute teacher and JV Volleyball Coach back in his hometown of Burlington Connecticut. Larson attended Temple University where he worked as an orientation leader with the Owl Team and gave keynote speeches at Walk-A-Mile-In-Her Shoes Events.
When not working at Western, Mr. Larson is coaching his club volleyball team Performance Zone where he is also the recruiting coordinator, social media coordinator, and website manager. You can view his recruiting videos on Instagram under the tag @performancezonevideos.
In his free time, you can find Mr. Larson hiking, playing volleyball and basketball, attending sporting events, or cooking.
