About
Evan Chamberlain is the EL Director at Western School of Science and Technology. The 2020-2021 Scholastic year marks his 9th year teaching and his fifth year at Western.
Before teaching at Western, Evan was the 10th grade ELA teacher at Yuma High School, where he was placed after completing the Arizona Teaching Fellows. The Arizona Teaching Fellows was a rigorous course in developing highly skilled educators to meet the needs of Arizona schools.
Evan is the son of two first-generation Americans from Mexico who, above all else, valued education. They both came to the U.S. seeking a life of prosperity and peace and they knew this would be available to their children only through education. It is the reason he teaches, and it is the reason he teaches at Western. Only at Western has he found such like-minded individuals who tirelessly devote themselves to the empowerment and achievement of their students.
Mr. Chamberlain was recently married and has a daughter due in November 2020, and so when he is not teaching, he is panicking, organizing the nursery, doing all the chores so his wife can rest, or chasing down his four crazy dogs.
