About
Evan Chamberlain is the Director of English Language Services at Western School of Science and Technology. As the director, Evan provides direct instruction to all scholars on their journey of acquiring mastery of the English Language. Additionally, he liaises between the district and the state, vis-a-vis policy enforcement, and compliance. Finally he provides teachers professional development opportunities to assist in their pedagogy as it pertains to EL Scholar differentiation.
Evan has over 12 years of experience as an educator and 4 years of experience as a director. He has taught all levels of ELA, throughout this time, and leans deeply into his family experience to ensure that all students have someone, that empathizes with their struggles. He is resolute in vocation to educate EL scholars, as his grandparents and parents were immigrants. He is passionate about providing as many resources he can to the scholars and families of Western School of Science and Technology.
In his free time, Evan enjoys playing soccer, playing the card game: Magic the Gathering, playing music, reading, but above all, spending as much time as he can with his daughter Kaelynn, his son Rayden, and his wife Heather.
